The business of being invisible in Vienna
Welcome to my website!
My name is Nina Schrödl
I am a mother, an artist,
and a woman who built a whole visual universe
out of the quiet hours no one sees.
refuse to be ignored, erased, or silenced — so I turn my life into art, patterns, and surfaces that speak louder than words. No more “too much noise”.
I became an object in emails, being coached, art, patterns, surfaces, and spaces
that finally turned into a voice for the woman hidden in clear sight in front of her walls.
My work is born from the daily choreography of motherhood:
opening drawers, picking clothes off the floor,
moving silently through rooms
until I become part of the furniture.
WHAT I DO
Whether it’s clothing, textiles, furniture, cars or entire homes —
I create patterns, ornaments, wallpapers and objects
that tell the real story of women who disappear in their own homes
and slowly turn invisibility into power.
I TURN MY PERSONAL STORY INTO EVERYDAY DESIGN — BECAUSE I REFUSE TO TAKE SILENCE AS AN ANSWER.
Every object becomes a witness.
Every pattern breaks the quiet.
Every surface speaks for the woman who wasn’t heard.
I LET OBJECTS TELL MY STORY —
THROUGH FLOWERS HANDED DOWN FROM SILENT, INVISIBLE WOMEN BEFORE ME.
These blossoms are our lineage.
They speak the words they were never allowed to say.
MY story, woven into the objects I live with. I LET OBJECTS TELL MY STORY —
WITH FLOWERS THAT REMEMBER THE WOMEN WHO DISAPPEARED BEFORE US.
Patterns become witnesses.
Every petal holds a life that went unnoticed.
HOW CAN I HELP YOU?
Develop your personal visual language
from the everyday routines that shaped youTurn motherhood, silence and self-erasure
into art, pattern and symbolic objectsTransform furniture, clothing or entire spaces
with custom-made designs rooted in your storyRethink your surroundings so they stop muting you
and start reflecting who you really are
design insecurity
You crave clarity, but your life created complexity.
You long for minimalism, but your instincts choose abundance.
This tension is not a flaw —
it is your style language.
I help you turn this contradiction
into a powerful visual identity.
ARE YOU READY FOR YOUR NEW DESIGN?
Imagine entering a room
and seeing yourself there for the first time.
Not the mother-version you became.
Not the housewife-object you were told to be.
But the artist you always were.
Let’s create this together —
with clarity, honesty, and a little bit of rebellion.
