A new kind of personal system

Back Up Your Brain

You've been thinking your whole life. Most of it is gone. What if nothing got lost — and everything you thought, said, wrote, and learned became a living archive that works for you?

How it works

You have four million words in your head. Where are they?

Morning pages, voice notes, emails, WhatsApp conversations, diary entries, ideas at 3 AM, things you said to your coach, breakthroughs in the shower. You've been generating material your entire life. Almost all of it has disappeared. Not because it wasn't valuable — because there was no system to catch it.

A living archive of your own mind

Back Up Your Brain is a personal system that collects everything you think, write, and say — morning pages, emails, voice notes, conversations, planners, journals — and organizes it into a searchable, living archive.

Not a folder. Not a notes app. A second brain that actually remembers, connects, and gives you back the best of your own thinking — exactly when you need it.

It looks backward (what did I think yesterday?) and forward (what should I focus on today?). It finds the patterns you can't see when you're inside them.

"Raw material never finishes. Extractions are what people buy. The morning pages, the voice notes, the messy thinking — that's the raw material. The book, the course, the post, the planner — those are the extractions. Back Up Your Brain is the system that sits between the two."

I spent six years writing four million words of morning pages. 2,190 mornings. From those pages came a book, a course, a product line, and a brand. But I had no system — I was mining my own brain with a teaspoon. Back Up Your Brain is the system I wish I'd had from the start.

Three things that change everything

01

Capture everything

Morning pages, voice notes, WhatsApp, emails, Zoom calls, diary entries, planners, conversations — all flowing into one place, automatically. You don't need to organize anything. The system does.

02

Find your patterns

The system reads what you wrote, notices what you keep circling back to, and shows you: here's what you actually care about. Here's the mistake you keep making. Here's the idea you mentioned 47 times but never acted on.

03

Extract what matters

From your raw material, the system pulls out the things other people would pay for — the book chapter, the Instagram caption, the course module, the coaching insight. Your thinking becomes your product.

Your daily page fills itself in

Every morning, your page is already waiting — built from what happened yesterday, what you wrote, what you said, what you need to face today.

Life lesson

Pulled from your own words — something you said yesterday that you need to hear again today.

Most important thing

One thing. Not ten. The system figures out what actually matters based on what you've been circling.

What was new

Up to five things that were genuinely new in your life yesterday. Because noticing novelty is how you stay awake.

Mistakes I made

Honest accounting. The system notices the patterns before you do — and gently puts them on the page.

New rules for life

Sometimes you discover a rule. The system catches it and asks: is this one real? Do you want to keep it?

Action items

Not a to-do list — commitments pulled from your own words. Things you said you'd do, now held accountable.

Coaching exercise

Based on yesterday's mistakes and your seven core patterns, a short exercise designed just for today.

Perfect day comparison

How close was yesterday to your ideal? A mood check that builds into a map of your emotional year.

Where this came from

I started writing morning pages in 2018 — three pages, every morning, before the children woke up. Some mornings I wrote about running. Some mornings I wrote about my marriage. Some mornings I wrote letters to a man who never replied.

After six years I had four million words. From those words came a memoir, Things I Burned Down to Build. A surface pattern brand. A course for artists. A product line. Everything I've made in the last five years came from sitting down at 5 AM and writing without stopping.

But I had no system. I was searching through 525 diary entries by hand, scrolling through years of WhatsApp, rereading planners from 2022 to find that one sentence I knew I'd written somewhere. Back Up Your Brain is the system I built so that nothing gets lost again.

My grandfather wrote science fiction novels. My father tried to build software for doctors to collect data. I collect thoughts. Three generations of brilliant collectors — the difference is that now the technology finally exists to make the collection useful.

Who this is for

Writers who generate more than they publish

You have notebooks, voice memos, emails, drafts. The raw material is endless. The finished work is hard. This is the bridge.

Creators who think by doing

You don't sit and plan — you start, iterate, react, pivot. Your best ideas show up mid-sentence. This system catches them.

People who've been in therapy, coaching, or meditation

You've done the inner work. You have insights. But they live in sessions, voice notes, and scribbled margins. Time to gather them.

Anyone who's ever said "I wrote that somewhere"

And then spent forty minutes looking for it. And then gave up. And then had the idea again six months later and forgot again.

This is just the beginning

Back Up Your Brain is being built right now. Want to be the first to try it?
